BBQ Tri-Tip Shredded Beef
2 lbs. Woodruff's Tri-Tip Roast, thawed
1 lg. White onion, julienned
1 1/2 tsp. Lawry’s Seasoning Salt
1/2 tsp. Black pepper, freshly ground
3/4 cup Beef broth or water
12 oz. BBQ Sauce
Season all sides of tri-tip with seasoning salt and black pepper. Set aside. Place half the amount of julienned onions in the bottom of a slow cooker. Place seasoned beef on top of the onions and pour remaining onions over top. Pour beef broth or water on the side of the tri-tip. Cover and cook on high for 4-6 hours or on low for 6-10 hours. Be sure to check beef half-way through the cooking time to ensure it is cooking evenly and there is liquid left in the slow cooker. When beef is finished cooking, use two forks to gently shred the beef. Add 12 ounces of your favorite BBQ sauce to finish the dish. We use DB Yummers http://www.dbyummers.com/ Mildly Spicy BBQ Sauce! Mix well to ensure beef is entirely coated.
